En qué consiste esta técnica

In the coming years, our planet, or if we prefer it, human beings will face a series of challenges to which we have to respond and in which there is a lot at stake, such as: climate change, developing a sustainable economy that respects the environment, fix the population in rural areas, robotization, Big Data, health, etc. If we want to respond adequately to these challenges, we will have to use, on the one hand, large doses of creativity, imagination and innovation and, on the other, to develop the initiative and leadership of our young people, who are ultimately the owners of our future (Isidro Montes ). And as Pablo Peñalver says, entrepreneurship is not an option, it is a necessity. Applying Lean startup in education helps us develop in our students the competence of sense of initiative and entrepreneurial spirit, while giving them a guideline to test their idea at an initial stage of the project with potential clients and thus, testing whether their model is correct or needs to be improved / revised.

Lean startup es, en esencia, una metodología para desarrollar negocios y productos que consiste en aplicar el método científico a un modelo de negocio. Se trata de proponer una hipótesis o idea de negocio, crear un prototipo rudimentario con un bajo coste y probarlo con clientes en una etapa inicial, de forma que podamos detectar enseguida posibles problemas y así implementar mejoras en ese prototipo antes de invertir grandes cantidades de tiempo y dinero en un producto cuyo planteamiento puede ser equivocado.

Lean startup está muy ligada a otra metodología que fomenta la creatividad: Design thinking. La metodología Design thinking fomenta la búsqueda de respuestas innovadoras a problemas actuales, mientras que Lean startup pone a prueba esta idea.
