Tips & Tricks
To fully utilize the method, you should:
- Some people can get dizzy during the breathing exercises, especially if they do them too fast, so avoid having students make sudden movements after the breathing techniques.
- It would benefit the relaxation techniques if, after the breathing techniques, some music is played in the classroom for 3 to 5 minutes so that the students can deepen their level of relaxation after the breathing techniques. Music is one of the most calming and relaxing resources. Listening to a slow, soft and relaxing melody while closing our eyes and resting in a suitable position can change our mood. We recommend listening to classical music such as Mozart, Beethoven, Bach… or simply some melody of musical instruments that brings us serenity.
- It is recommended to perform these breathing techniques in the middle of the school day, as in the early hours of the morning students are more perceptive and it is as the day goes by when they begin to have more distractions and accumulate stress, so mid-morning after a break may be the most appropriate time to perform these techniques.
