This technique can be used to assess the acquisition and assimilation of skills and knowledge following the introduction of an innovative formative approach in the classroom. In this sense, if learners are the targets of the evaluation, it will be possible to assess their progress in a given area of knowledge (comparing the initial situation, and the after).

For example, you can measure:

  • The academic progress of your students during a specific time period, so that it is possible to observe the evolution of their knowledge and skills before and after the introduction of a novel activity/approach.
  • The real usefulness of the implemented activity, is it beneficial to introduce creativity techniques in secondary education?
