What is this technique about

A Gymkhana is a competition game in which participants must pass a series of tests in which they develop different skills, such as wit, logic, problem solving, or physical or sports skills, along a course.

The main goal of a gymkhana is to overcome a series of tests or obstacles that allow reaching the end of a route. This concept allows us to open multiple possibilities of designing activities that allow us to evaluate the contents in a different way in which the student feels much more motivated.

Game-based activities have been shown to increase student involvement in their learning process while developing other skills, such as logic, creativity, teamwork or communication, among others.

If we combine both techniques and design a gymkhana in which the tests to be solved are games that work on the content that we want to evaluate, we are creating a relaxed and playful learning environment, where the students, as protagonists, will be able to demonstrate their knowledge.
