For which purposes it is used

The objective of a SWOT analysis, in the framework of CLIVE, is to examine a school’s internal and external environments or a way of a subject teached by identifying and analyzing the strengths and weaknesses, as well as the opportunities and threats to which it is exposed.

Part of the objective of the SWOT analysis is to assertively identify issues affecting the approach’s operation, which provides extremely helpful information throughout the strategic planning process.

SWOT analysis can be divided into two sections: the internal environment, which identifies strengths and weaknesses, and the external environment, which identifies threats and opportunities.

Several SWOT analysis objectives include the following:

  • To compile an overview of external and internal factors.
  • To prioritize action items of the issue under examination management, which entails creating action priorities.
  • To develop strategic options, including risks and issues to be resolved.
  • It is only via analysis that we can define an accurate diagnosis: enhancing the positive aspects, identifying areas for improvement, estimating growth potential, expanding opportunities, and so on.
  • To forecast end result and impact on stydents, in accordance with the learing objectives and to assess the course’s capabilities in general.
  • Internal environment (Strengths and Weaknesses) – process integration and standardization, as well as inefficiency removal.  Concentrate on the core element e.g., teaching chemistry using examples or expriments.
  • External environment (Opportunities and Threats) – to have reliable and trustworthy data, to obtain information rapidly in order to assist in making strategic decisions, and to minimize errors eg what will have if all students do at the same time a chemistry experiment that will cerate smoke.
