The Guilford’s Test of Divergent Thinking, also known as The Alternative Uses Test, is an example of a divergent thinking test that is often used to evaluate one’s cognitive flexibility. Divergent thinking is an essential aspect of the creative design process. The majority of design issues do not have a single answer that is guaranteed to be accurate; rather, the challenges often include a variety of potential answers.
