Assessment Technique Description

The use of student-generated test questions is a technique for recovering or remembering knowledge that has been previously acquired and processing it. When incorporated into the process of teaching, it has been shown that the use of questions formulated by students may enhance both learning and interest in the subject matter being covered. The use of student-generated test questions enables students to enhance their analytical and creative thinking, as well as their quantitative reasoning, scientific literacy, information literacy, diversity, communication, depth, breadth, and integration of learning.
