Tips & Tricks

After completing an Analogous Inpiration session and having your analogous soloution, here are three key elements to consider:

  1. What problem does this solve?
Look at what it does, what is its function?
  2. How does it solve the problem?
What actions contribute to achieving success?
  3. Examine the composition
Take note of the elements and components that make it up.
How are the elements/details ordered and how do they relate to the whole?

The objective is to generate new structural ideas from a design, experience, or challenge that performs and behaves similarly to the one you’re attempting to address. Analogies frequently demand a thorough insight and expertise of the subject being analyzed.  Therefore, dig deep.
