General overview of how to implement it
The prototyping methodology is related to continuous improvement and the Deming Cycle which consists of an interactive process focused on designing, implementing, measuring and adjusting a plan.
In the case of a prototype, we could apply 4 stages in the design and implementation: Definition of the objectives:
- Definition of the objectives. The first thing is to know what we are going to explore, what is the purpose of the prototype, what elements are required.
- Definition of the tools for designing and testing. It is necessary to define whether the minimum viable product is going to be material or digital, shape, dimensions.
- Prototype testing. Introduce the prototype to the users, observe and record the performance of the prototype, and allow the user to contribute ideas.
- Analysing the results and learning. From the initial definition and performance of the prototype, refine the solution concept.
