Creativity Technique Description
“The way is long if one follows precepts, but short if one follows patterns”. With this phrase, the Roman philosopher Seneca, summarized the importance of the use of stories in the teaching process that help the student to understand and analyze problems through other similar experiences.
Storytelling is, perhaps, the teaching technique that is closest to what Seneca intended. It is based on the use of stories and tales that capture the attention of the student and place him before problems similar to those that he must solve, thus facilitating his understanding and analysis capacity to determine the different cause-effect relationships that occur throughout the story.
