Materials / equipment needed

  • Pencils, paper, cardstock, markers, glue, tape, modeling clay, scissors, and generally a variety of craft supplies that can be used to build the prototype.
  • Blocks of pieces of wood, or Lego pieces, can also be useful to build the prototype.
  • Computers or tablets with internet connection. Depending on availability, they can be used as complementary material if students need to search for  some information, or as one more tool, either to build the digital version of their prototype or to make a presentation to expose their product to their classmates.
  • A blackboard (preferably a digital one, although it is not strictly necessary) so that the students can use it in their presentations, and the teacher to gather ideas when making activities of sharing outputs and conclusions of each group with the rest of the class
