SWOT stands for Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats, and thus a SWOT Analysis is a technique for evaluating these four characteristics of a subject, topic or issue.

SWOT Analysis can help you make the most of what you have for your chosen subject.  And you may minimize your chances of failing by identifying what you need and avoiding pitfalls that would otherwise catch you off guard.
