- It is more challenging to ask the learner to evaluate their own work on the test. Ask them to rate their replies using the four stated criteria and to be as honest as possible. Keep in mind that they are fluency, originality, flexibility, and elaboration. First, ask them to rate their fluency on a scale of 10 (how many did they create?) and then mark each response for the other three criteria. Practicing this exam is an excellent strategy to help students enhance their divergent creative abilities and build their capacity to produce innovative answers.
- You may see that the better your fluency, the greater your originality. This is a contamination issue that may be resolved by utilizing an originality corrective calculation (originality = originality/fluency).
- The bulk of the examinees’ comments in the first few minutes are their least creative.
