1. On the whiteboard, summarize the issue at hand in a concise sentence.
2. Each participant is given a blank sheet of paper (3 columns with 6 rows each).
3. For the first line, each participant should write three possible solutions to the problem.
4. The sheets are passed clockwise to the next person after three minutes.
5. Everyone now attempts to develop existing ideas and to jot down three new ones.
6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 five times more until all lines are filled.
7. The group then analyzes, evaluates, and discusses the findings.
